We would like to announce that, in order to protect the athletes, we have taken the difficult decision to make a change to the classic Elbaman bike route.
The 2025 edition will consist of 4×45 km laps instead of the classic 3×60. The first climb, which leads to the village of Sant’Ilario, has been eliminated, as the road surface is currently not in a condition that can guarantee the safety of participants and we have not been provided with any guarantees that it will be made safe. As you know, our athletes come first and we believe that having fun and competing safely is a priority.
Despite the change, the overall elevation gain remains essentially unchanged.
As for the Elbaman73 middle-distance athletes, nothing changes compared to previous editions.
The route has been updated on the race website.
The refreshment points and all services along the route remain unchanged. Details will be provided in the Race-Book to be published in the coming weeks.
